Itinerary

16 Days / 15 Nights

This tour has been carefully designed to give you a taste of the exciting, endless possibilities and can be tailored to suit your exact preferences.

You will be received by our representative at the Delhi Airport and would be travelling again on an evening train to Sawai Madhopur. After a 6hrs travel we would be reaching the periphery of Ranthambore National park, a place famous for its tigers and other desert species. Major fauna which you would encounter here are the Sloth Bear, Desert Fox, Caracal, Palm Civet, Fishing cat among many others in the animal category and Painted Sandgrouse, Great horned owl, Bronzed winged Jacana, Sandpiper etc in the bird variety. This marks the start of your adventure trip with us.

You would be spending the next day also here exploring the wilderness on jeep safari. You would be sure to meet the big cats if you look carefully!

Post breakfast, you would be bidding adieu to Ranthambore National Park and would be driving towards Bharatpur. Keoladeo National Park, located in Bharatpur, Rajasthan is a haven for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Though many birds have left the sanctuary after the decade long spell of droughts, there are many exotic birds and impressive list of rare birds still to be seen in this bird sanctuary. The most common birds that you can spot here are the Eurasian spoonbills, Great egret, painted storks, Greater Painted-snipe, Glossy and Black-headed Ibis, Black Bittern, migratory waterfowls, Darters and Indian Saurus crane among many others. Nilgais and Sambhars are also a common sight in this sanctuary.

This sanctuary is also a host to a rich flora which provides a scenic beauty to the surroundings. You would be spending the night in a lodge near the national park.

Today, you would spend the morning exploring the nearby reservoir, the Bund Baretha which is located one hour from the national park. We would be spending some time here birdwatching for water fowls and raptors. After that, we return for lunch to the lodge and would depart towards Agra after that. A trip to Agra is not complete without a visit to the Taj Mahal. After a brief visit in the Taj Mahal, we would continue towards Jarar village, one hour from Agra. This place is a perfect place to sit and birdwatch for any rare bird species like Brown Hawk-owl and Indian Grey Hornbill to name a few.

Overnight stay in: Wildlife Lodge in Jarar

Chambal river is known for its river dolphins and gharials. It is also home for a variety of birds like Indian Black Ibis, Indian Stone-curlew, Sand Lark and Brown Crake. We would also go on a boat trip in the river Chambal. We would be departing towards Delhi on a 6 hr. journey after exploring river Chambal and its banks.

We would be departing from Delhi again to Sattal for another adventurous birdwatching expedition. We would be spending two days in Sattal to explore its diverse flora and fauna. We can spot birds like red-billed blue magpie, kingfishers, blue-throated and brown-headed barbets, lineated barbet here to mention a few. After Sat Tal, we would be proceeding to higher altitudes of Pangot. Here also we would encounter many new varieties of flora and fauna. Among them are-the Black Francolin, Eurasian Collared Dove, Large-tailed Nightjar, Oriental Turtle Dove, Mountain Hawk Eagle, Eurasian Sparrowhawk, Common Hoopoe, Speckled Piculet and the Green Bee-eater. The closeness to Nainital and the altitude combined never fails to enthral the tourists with its scenic beauty and rich flora.

Overnight stay in: Accommodation provided is dependent on group size and is a choice between a mountainside hotel or birding camp at Sattal, and birding lodge at Pangot.

We would depart from Pangot and arrive at Corbett National Park today. The next four days would be spent here exploring the rich mix of flora and fauna. We have lots of tigers and other animal and a host of exotic and rare birds to spot and explore. Located in Uttarakhand, this place is known for its tigers and rich variety of birds. It has a spread of around 521 sq km and when combined with the adjoining reserve forest comes to about 1288sq km making it the biggest and oldest wildlife sanctuary in Asia. The different bird species which we would be looking for here are the pallas’s fishing bird, eagle, white collared falconet, wall creepers, stork billed kingfishers and brown fish owl among others. We would be accommodating you in a wildlife lodge near the national park and one night in a forest rest house at Dhikala.

The 15th day would bring our wildlife expedition to a close with you departing to New Delhi.
