- Loktak Lake, Manipur: The largest freshwater lake in North East India covering an area of 40 sq. km.
- Kohima, Nagaland: Its original Angami name was Kewhima (meaning “land of Kewhi flowers”), which was changed to Kohima as the British found to difficult to pronounce it. The famous Hornbill Festival of Nagaland held every year between December 1- 10 is held at the Naga Heritage Village in Kohima. The festival brings across all the tribes of Nagaland, who take part in it with an aim to revive and protect the rich culture of Nagaland. Places to visit in Kohima are: Catholic Cathedral, Kohima World War II Cemetery, State Museum, and Naga Heritage Village
- Khonoma, Nagaland: The 700-year old Khonoma Village with a brave history of its tribal men is located 20 kms from the capital city of Nagaland, Kohima.
- Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh: Tawang, is a town situated on the north-western part of Arunachal Pradesh bordering China, and hosts Asia’s second largest monastery. One can plan day trips from Tawang to Zemithang, Bumla Pass & Sela Pass (enroute to Tawang from Tezpur/Dhirang)
