Soon after breakfast, it is time to hit the roads to Mudumalai National Park which shall be a drive of around 45 minutes. Nestling in the north-western section of Nilgiri Hills, the Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is the homestead of many vulnerable and endangered species such as the Indian Leopard, Bengal Tiger, Indian Elephant, and Gaur. Other creatures to which this land serves as a habitat include plentiful species of birds, reptiles, mammals, amphibians, and fishes.

Enjoy yet another but the last early morning safari to Bandipur before breakfast this morning. After a sumptuous breakfast, head towards Munnar. It is a road journey of about 8 hours during which there will be a halt in the midway for lunch. Situated on a hilly terrain, Munnar is best known for its tea plantations. The views of untainted valleys, pleasing mountains, alluring flora and fauna and the fragrance of spices in the air are what Munnar is all about. The scenes are so mesmerizing that you would surely want to enjoy the views and the weather for some time in the evening.

The next day, visit the Eravikulam National Park. Since vehicles are not allowed inside, this area will be explored on foot. Take packed picnic lunch to be enjoyed amidst wilderness as this entire day will be spent around this landscape.

A must visit destination in Munnar for anyone who is visiting the southern part of India, Eravikulam National Park is the natural home of the endangered Nilgiri Thar. Apart from this, various other rare animals, birds and insects can be spotted here. An intriguing discovery of this park is a strange reddish-orange coloured frog with short limbs and multiple glands.

After spending the entire day around here, return to the lodge for dinner and a sweet night’s sleep.

Immediately after the morning meal, it is time to set out for a 3 hours drive to Periyar National Park. Revel in a tempting lunch upon reaching the lodge. Thereafter, embark on a visit to the spice gardens, a prominent attraction of this area. Be pleased with the aroma of cardamoms and pepper in the air. Return to the lodge around sunset and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Next morning, it is the ideal time to plunge into a Periyar National Park safari on an elephant-back, an excellent way to enjoy bird’s eye view of the entire forest land, and surrounding spice plantations. Periyar National Park is another famous wildlife sanctuary of India. The scenic allurement of this land and the bountiful blessings of nature leave every visitor bewildered. Apart from the copious flora, the forests of Periyar are equally well-gifted with a bounty of fauna. Bengal Tigers, White Tigers, Indian Elephants, Indian Giant Squirrel, Nilgiri Tahr and Lion-tailed macaque are some of the animals that thrive here.

While you stay around Periyar, do not miss the boat ride. A game drive to the wilderness of Periyar is scheduled post-lunch in the afternoon.

Relish a delectable breakfast at the lodge and get ready to depart for Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary on a road trip of about 4 to 5 hours. Occupying a lovely land in the backwaters of Kerala, Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is a heaven for every bird lover.

Spend the time until dusk at the bird sanctuary and watch thousands of birds around. Cormorant, moorhen, brahminy kite, waterfowl, cuckoo, egret and owls are the local inhabitants while the migrants include Siberian Crane, Lark, Flycatcher, Teal and Parrot. The sanctuary also encompasses an in-house interpretation center.
